Mellow Orange sais:
Newest Mellow Orange team member, Berlin based german DJ and vinyl nerd BeatPete, began djing and collecting a decade ago, and to this day, he’s dedicated to vinyl only. His crates include Hip Hop/ Instrumental Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Library Music,… all of which are not collecting dust, but get spun on a regular.
For about 2 years now, BeatPete and co-founder Marian Tone have been putting on the Backyard Joints. A party focusing on new and old underground Hip Hop, the Arts of beat making as well as a healthy dose of Jazz & Funk. The event gives Beatmakers from all over a platform to present their craft at Panke in Berlin.
BeatPete drops free download mixes regularly on his Soundcloud page and soon will release the first episode of his new mixtape series called “Analog Affinities” through HHV, available on cassette.
Just in time for Halloween, the Hieroglyphics crew is back with a new jawn titled “Heebie Jeebies.” The Gully Duckets-produced track finds the eight-man crew rapping over some menacing production with a slight trap feel to it. This track is one of two jawns that came out of the entire crew being together in the studio in YEARS
First and foremost all credit for this free DL goes to Robbie at UnKut.com which is where I seen this at. You have to visit his site for the DL. When you’re there look around and stay a while.
This has been tucked away since 2002 with no release in site . It will finally get that proper release through the usual digital route. You only need look at the back cover to see the production you’ll get on this project , and Milano isn’t one to sleep on as he is closely affiliated with DITC.
