Marsellus Wallace & Skeme Richards-Cops Crooks And Spies-Mix

A year ago I was approached by Jamison Harvey from Flea Market Funk and asked to do a mix for them. I’ve always had a lot of respect for what they do, and always enjoyed listening to their mixes as well. I also wanted to somehow include my Butta Brother Skeme Richards. So we got together, and came up with an idea. I would do a mix, and Skeme would dub dialog from his massive VHS collection and lay it on top. Kind of a soundtrack for a movie that never happened. So, that’s what we did! With that said, we present to you “Cops Crooks and Spies”. Thank you everyone for your support! Peace.

Volume. 2 is released in memory of our beloved friend Fredrik ‘ASOC’ by Stockholm based WOL Crew.

About a year and a half ago we released our first DVD, ‘Wolume 1, a 120 min train-action dvd with focus on Stockholm based WOL crew.
This year we have been putting in a lot of work to overshine that release.

A true train action graffiti movie from the zero tolerance scandinavian capital Stockholm.
The DVD is sold on http://4608.tictail.com and is sold seperately or with a 48 pages handmade fanzine in a limited number of 300.

This week I chose Jeff Weiss’ , of Passion Of the Weiss , article for NOISEY entitled
“Read These Previously Unreleased Handwritten Poems by a 17-Year-Old Tupac Shakur”
The poems themselves were acquired through the Citizens of Humanity organization by Pac’s very first manager Leila Steinberg.

About a year and a half ago we released our first DVD, ‘Wolume 1, a 120 min train-action dvd with focus on Stockholm based WOL crew.

This year we have been putting in a lot of work to overshine that release. In September we will release of the sequel ‘Wolume 2 in memory of our brother Asoc.

This time we thought that instead of making a regular 2 min trailer with random clips from the upcoming film we decided to give a little extra and made a 10 minute ‘pre-episode’ of the clips that we didnt manage to squeeze into the upcoming DVD.

This week I chose this interview with one of the best engineer’s , and behind the scenes people to ever do it , Young Guru of the Roc-A-Fella Records era of course and continuing engineer and DJ to this day.

Watch as he talks to E-Money from HipHopSince1987 about being the engineer for Jay and The ROC , and also

piracy on the internet changing music,deals with Akai Pro, a line of engineering headphones, and an upcoming book, before delving into how teaching at USC and running Jay Z & Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’ Tour have opened up new avenues for him to affect music.
